Summer in Mellau

Mellau, in the heart of the Bregenzerwald, is a suitable starting point for many holiday activities. Embedded in a stunning mountain scenery with more than 80 km of marked trails in the district it invites you for hiking and mountain tours of all kinds.

Thanks to its location at the mouth of the rivers Mellenbaches and the Bregenzer Ache, and many other small streams, and waterfalls nearby, we offer all recreational activities in and around the water, such as rafting, canyoning, fishing, but also the mere "immersion" in nature. A swimming pool, a tennis hall and a golf driving range offer additional activities, and if that is not enough, you can with a bicycle or mountain bike explore the marked bike paths of the Bregenzerwald.

Those that are culture conscious also come to their treasures: The Schubert concerts in Schwarzenberg, the summer festival in Bregenz, with the famous floating stage, and many local museum sites in the region are only a short distance from Mellau.

A variety of other events are also organized by the Tourist Office, such as a photograph and slide evening, folklore concerts, evening brass band concerts, and guided walks through the village.
